GT85 is the do it all stalwart of every cyclist’s toolbox. Created in 1985 by motor racing fanatic John Chapman to meet the harsh demands of his transport company and racing exploits. It was designed as a high quality penetrating spray and long term lubricant, the addition of PTFE reducing friction, wear and energy consumption on components.
Cyclists found that GT85 served multiple uses when it came to bike maintenance. Not only loosening stuck bolts and displacing water but lubricating cables, levers and derailleurs too. The long lastive protective coating that comes from the PTFE also makes a perfect finishing polish, acting as a barrier to dirt, moisture and rust.
