The Selle Italia story began in 1897 just outside of Milan in the village of Corsico. Founded when the bicycle was the transport of choice for most, they began by making saddles for everyday bikes. Fast forward to 1970, a takeover and the development of cycling as a sport led to an upwards trajectory that propelled Selle Italia to the top with continuous product innovation using new materials and construction techniques.
Every Selle Italia saddle is the result of constant research and development. Working alongside leading biomechanics specialists and doctors using detailed scientific studies every millimetre and material is agonised over to create saddles that come one step closer to perfection.
